  • ReSpirit Wellness began as a desire to empower individuals with knowledge of the earth’s free and abundant medicines. In a day and age where every ill has a pill, discovering our innate abilities to self regulate, heal, and connect with the world around us can have profound impacts on our lives.

    Through the instruction of breathwork and other evidence based modalities, ReSpirit Wellness aspires to awaken individuals to their inner strength, providing people with the confidence and tools to embrace any challenge encountered.

  • Humans can survive weeks without food, days without water, but only a few minutes without taking a breathe. Despite this, we receive very little information on efficient breathing practices. How does heavy breathing affect us? Does breathing into our belly or chest change our mood? Is there a difference between breathing through our nose or our mouth? Unfortunately many of our habitual breathing patterns are working against what we want for ourselves. The good news is that reconnecting with our breath is an easy an enjoyable experience that can be done by anyone, providing many health benefits. Researchers at the University of Colorado Boulder recently showed that a simple 5 minute breathing exercise can reduce blood pressure as much as exercise and medication. In 2012, Wim Hof proved to the world for the first time that humans can influence their autonomic nervous system with conscious breathing. What can breathing do for you?

  • There is no one-size-fits-all approach to breathing, we are all different and may benefit from different approaches and exercises. Some of us may benefit from daily deep conscious breathing, while others may find fulfillment through light and slow breathing exercises. At ReSpirit Wellness, I work with each individual to explore their own relationship with breath, helping clients to deepen their confidence, resilience, and sense of self-efficacy.

  • Andre is a breathwork instructor and wellness coach based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was drawn to the healing arts after suffering a concussion while training to represent Costa Rica at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Slopestyle Skiing. After quitting competitive skiing, lingering concussive symptoms quickly spiraled into ever present anxiety, he became consumed by Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) for many years. With the help of a great therapist and introduction to the Wim Hof Method, he was able to re-engage with life and return to the mountains. Andre hopes to help others discover the fire within themselves and see new possibilities for their lives and the world.
