Discover how the breath can be used as a tool for physical, mental, and spiritual growth during the breathing fundamentals class. We start by exploring what an efficient breath looks and feels like within our bodies, using movement and directed exercises as our guides. The class then moves on to a guided breathing session, delving into techniques such as diaphragmatic breathing, box breathing, and nasal breathing which are designed to improve lung capacity, oxygenate the body, and reduce stress. By incorporating visualization and intention into our session, we go into the spiritual dimension of the breath, encountering our inner strength along the way. The goal of this class is for students to learn breathing techniques in a simple and experiential manner while gaining the immediate benefits of the practice in a supportive community.
